Cursus ‘Mental Health in Complex Emergencies’ (16-07-2012)

De 2012 cursus ‘Mental Health in Complex Emergencies’ is een gezamenlijk georganiseerde cursus van het Center for International Humanitarian Cooperation (CIHC), het Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs bij de Fordham University (New York) en HealthNet TPO. Deze gecertificeerde cursus is een 7-daagse training voor GGZ professionals en programmamedewerkers die geestelijke of psychosociale zorgprogramma’s willen opzetten in complexe noodsituaties en humanitaire settings.

Leeragenda
Het curriculum is gebaseerd op eerdere succesvolle cursussen in Nairobi, New York, Genève, Kampala en Londen. De cursus heeft tot doel een praktische oriëntatie en training te bieden om GGZ professionals uit te rusten met kennis en instrumenten om dergelijke programma’s op te kunnen zetten. Dit betreft ook het versterken van bijkomende vaardigheden voor complexe humanitaire noodsituaties, waaronder conflict situaties, post-conflict situaties en rampsituaties.

Wie kunnen zich aanmelden?
Cursisten zouden een achtergrond moeten hebben in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg of maatschappelijk werk, of een relevante professionele achtergrond waarmee verdere verdieping in geestelijke gezondheid of psychosociale programma’s in complexe noodsituaties mogelijk is, of ervaring hebben met humanitaire situaties, bij voorkeur in GGZ of psychosociale programma’s.

Cursuslocatie
De cursus zal worden gehouden in: the Ecumenical Institute, bij Chateau de Bossey in Geneve, Zwitserland van 30 september tot 6 oktober 2012.
