Three times a year Intervention Journal publishes articles relevant for mental health professionals, (inter)national experts in the field of mental health and psychosocial support within academic organizations and staff members of (inter)national non-governmental organizations. The Journal is seen as an important tool in spreading information from the practical experience of fieldworkers and as inspiration for others carrying out similar interventions.

Once a year a special issue is being published. The special issue of 2011 will be published this December and focuses on the integration of activities in the field of mental health in existing health care systems during and after complex emergency aid and conflict situations. This focus comes back in a lot of HealthNet TPO’s programmes as well.
Intervention Journal offers the opportunity to share interesting projects and experiences within an international field. The editorial department is always looking for contributions such as: results on research in the field of mental health and psychosocial support, evaluations of project results, descriptions of projects interesting for the work field, personal reflections of local workers etc. If you have ideas or input, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Intervention Journal is a publication of the War Trauma Foundation. With (financial) support of Cordaid, WoltersKluwer/LWW and HealthNet TPO it is possible to spread the Journal free of costs to local organizations in low and middle income countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) included the Journal in the HINARI initiative: research centers in low income countries have electronic access to the content of the Journal without having to pay anything. More information about Intervention Journal and the work of the War Trauma Foundation can you find on the website.
